RIGHT AFTER SHE GAVE BIRTH, HER MOTHER-IN-LAW AND HER HUSBAND’S MISTRESS THREW DIVORCE PAPERS IN HER FACE — THEY THOUGHT SHE WAS POOR, BUT THEY HAD NO IDEA SHE OWNED THE HOSPITAL THEY WERE IN!

Sofia was a simple woman who married Jason for love. For two years, she endured the abuse of her mother-in-law, Doña Elvira.

“You’re useless!” Elvira would always shout. “A freeloader! A nobody! My son was wasted on you! You bring no wealth to this family!”

What Jason and Elvira didn’t know was that Sofia was only pretending to be poor. She was the hidden heiress of the Montemayor Group of Companies—one of the richest families in Asia. She only wanted to be sure that Jason truly loved her before revealing her wealth.

But she was disappointed.

Sofia had just given birth to their first child in a public ward (because Jason refused to pay for a private room). She was exhausted, still bleeding, and holding her newborn.

Suddenly, the door burst open.

Jason walked in—but he wasn’t alone. With him were Doña Elvira and a glamorous woman covered in jewelry—Tiffany, Jason’s wealthy ex-girlfriend.

“Jason?” Sofia called weakly. “Look at our baby…”

Jason didn’t even look at the child. He just lowered his head.

Doña Elvira stepped forward.

SMACK!

A thick folder was thrown straight into Sofia’s face.

“What is this?” Sofia asked through tears.

“Annulment papers and a separation agreement,” Tiffany snapped, clinging to Jason’s arm. “Sign them. Stay away from Jason. We’re the ones getting married.”

“J-Jason?” Sofia sobbed. “Why? I just gave birth! This is your child!”

“I’m sorry, Sofia,” Jason said, unable to meet her eyes. “I need money. Our business has collapsed. Tiffany is rich—she’s the only one who can save us. You? You bring nothing. You’re just a burden.”

Doña Elvira laughed. “You heard him! You’re worthless! You’re poor! So sign the papers and get out with your child! We don’t want filthy blood in our family!”

Tiffany pointed at Sofia. “Get lost, loser. I’ll even pay this hospital bill since you clearly can’t afford it. How embarrassing.”

Sofia wiped her tears and stared at the three of them. Her pain slowly turned into cold anger.

“Are you sure?” Sofia asked calmly. “Because once I sign this, there will be no turning back.”

“As if we care!” Elvira scoffed. “Just sign it!”

Sofia signed the papers.

“Good,” Tiffany smirked. “Now get out.”

Just as they were about to leave, the ward door suddenly opened again.

Ten men in suits entered, followed by the Hospital Director and the Chief of Staff.

Elvira brightened. “Oh, Director! You’re here! I’m Doña Elvira. Do you recognize me?”

The Director ignored her completely.

Instead, the doctors and bodyguards walked straight to Sofia.

All of them bowed 90 degrees before the woman lying in the bed.

“Good afternoon, Chairman Sofia,” the Director said respectfully. “We apologize for placing you in the public ward. We didn’t know you were here. The Presidential Suite is ready, and the helicopter is prepared to transfer you.”

Jason’s jaw dropped. Tiffany’s eyes widened. Doña Elvira nearly collapsed.

“C-Chairman…?” Jason stammered.

Sofia slowly stood up. A bodyguard draped a luxurious silk robe over her shoulders.

“Director,” Sofia said calmly. “Please tell them who I am.”

“Yes, ma’am,” the Director turned to the three of them.
“She is Ms. Sofia Montemayor—the owner of this hospital and CEO of the Montemayor Empire, which owns the company where you work, Mr. Jason.”

Jason looked like he’d been struck by lightning. The “poor” wife he abandoned was the boss of his boss’s boss.

“Sofia!” Jason rushed toward her. “Hon! I was just joking earlier! I love you! I did it for our child!”

“Don’t touch me,” Sofia said coldly.

The guards immediately blocked him.

Sofia stepped closer to Elvira and Tiffany, who were trembling.

“You said I was useless? You said I was a burden?” Sofia smiled.
“Doña Elvira, the mansion you live in? It’s mortgaged to my bank.
And Tiffany, your father owes my company 100 million.”

Sofia picked up the annulment papers she had signed.

“Thank you for these papers. I’m finally free of you. But you? From today onward, your lives will be hell.”

She turned to the Director.
“Blacklist these three from all my hospitals. Call the bank—foreclose Elvira’s house immediately. And Jason… you’re fired.”

“Sofia, please!” Elvira dropped to her knees. “Don’t take our house!”

“Hon! Please forgive me! Don’t fire me!” Jason cried.

Sofia didn’t even look back.

“Guards,” she ordered while holding her baby and walking out, “remove this trash. They’re polluting the air in my hospital.”

Security dragged Jason, Elvira, and Tiffany out, leaving them on the street—crying, broken, and full of regret.

Meanwhile, Sofia boarded her helicopter back to her real world…
A world where she was the queen, and no one would ever humiliate her again.
