EPISODE 2

Vera left her six-month-old son with her sister Stella and went to the market. She never knew Stella had an ev!l plan.
When Vera left, Stella went to the balcony. In a second she pushed her sister’s little baby from the top of the three-storey building. The small baby hit the ground hard.
After that she lied to Patrick, her brother-in-law. She told him Vera had left the baby alone on the balcony and the baby fell because his mother was careless.
Patrick flew into anger. He ordered the police to arrest his wife, and rushed Junior to the hospital. He did not know this was Stella’s plan. Vera cried and cried, “I did not do this! I didn’t leave my son alone!” But Patrick would not listen.
Junior was rushed into ICU. Doctors worked on him. Nurses moved quickly. Many doctors tried to revive him.
Then Stella stepped out of the ICU and called someone. She put the phone to her ear and spoke in a low voice. “Hello ma, the work is done. I just pushed my sister’s son off the balcony and I don’t think he will survive. Send the six million naira.”
A dry laugh answered. “You’re very cruel, Stella,” said an old woman over the call.
“I don’t care,” Stella said coldly. “I can even k!ll Vera my sister too if you want. Just send my money.”
She hung up, turned — and saw Patrick standing behind her. Her heart jumped. She thought he heard everything. Patrick’s face was hard with fury. “Thank you, Stella, for calling me on time,” he said. “I never knew my wife would be this careless with our only son. I will make sure she rots in prison.”
Stella smiled like a mask. “Don’t worry. Junior might be fine,” she said softly, and in her head she thought, F00lish man.
In the police cell Vera sat on the cold bench and cried. “Please, officer, I’m innocent. Let me see my son once. I can’t leave my son all alone on the balcony. My sister framed me. I don’t even know how my son is doing, please sir,” she begged.
The policemen did not look at her. One of them said, “You should be thinking of yourself because very soon you will be sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted mur.der of your son.”
Just then Mama Grace rushed into the police station. She lived in the storey building opposite Vera’s house. From her balcony she saw everything that happened, how Stella push the baby. Her hands shook as she held her phone.
She went to Vera’s prison cell and whispered to her, “Don’t worry. I have evidence. I recorded everything when your wicked sister threw Junior down from the balcony. I’m going to show Patrick. You will be released and your sister will be put behind bars.”
Vera thanked her with tears. Mama Grace left and called Patrick. “Hello Patrick, I’m coming to show you something. Wait for me. I’m coming to the hospital.”
But an officer in the station who worked for Stella overheard Mama Grace conversation with Vera. He called Stella and told her, “A woman named Mama Grace is coming to the hospital with a video to expose you.”
“Don’t worry,” Stella said with an ev!l smile. “I know what to do.”
Mama Grace drove fast down the lonely road to the hospital that night, her phone tight in her hand. She could not wait to expose Stella.
Meanwhile, Vera waited in her cell, praying for Mama Grace to reach Patrick with the video. In just 3 days she will be sentenced to Life imprisonment, only that video could save her.
Just few metres to the hospital, a white car ran into Mama Grace’s car. Glass cracked. She fell. The driver stepped out — it was Stella.
Stella grabbed the phone from Mama Grace and mocked her, “You can’t expose me.” When passersby came, Stella jumped into her car and drove off.
They people around rushed Mama Grace to the hospital. She lay in a coma, breathing with oxygen as doctors worked on her.
Just then, Stella arrived at the hospital where Mama Grace was administered. “If she wakes, she will expose me. I have to k!ll her, or I will be sent to prison — and the woman I’m working for will be exposed.” Stella murmured to herself.
Stella disguised herself as a nurse and entered the room where Mama Grace lay unconscious with oxygen. She locked the door and brought out a syringe filled with po!son. It’s time to finish you Mama Grace, I will make sure you don’t wake up.
JUST THEN THE DOOR OPENED.
