The most surprising thing was that she came with a heavy pregnant belly to congratulate us on our wedding. Vân’s sudden appearance drew the attention of the entire room. Whispers spread quickly, and no one knew what would happen.
When I was in college, I was the handsome and intelligent guy that many female students admired. But I never fell for anyone. My family was poor, I had to work part-time every day just to pay for my tuition, and I had no time for love.
One of the women who loved me was my classmate Vân. To win my heart, she often bought me food, clothes, and even paid for my tuition.
I never felt any real feelings for him, but since his family supported my studies, I reluctantly agreed to be with him.
