As luck would have it, she had come to clean in her sister’s place, but for the little girl and her lonely father, she became the ‘light’ of the house.

“As luck would have it, she had come to clean in her sister’s place, but for the little girl and her lonely father, she became the ‘light’ of the house. ”

The silent mansion and the tiny Chirag Aryan Khanna mansion were like a museum — beautiful but lifeless. While Isha was cleaning the hall, she heard small footsteps. 4-year-old Ayan was standing with an old toy in his hand. In her eyes was the innocence that was lost without a mother. Isha made an airplane out of paper and flew it towards her. A tiny smile appeared on Ayan’s face.

Aryan saw this from a distance. She hadn’t seen her son smile with a stranger in years. He invited Isha to dinner. Isha said that she is studying, while eating simple dal-khichdi. Aryan began to be impressed by her simplicity and her attachment to Ayan.

The days went by to expose the lie. Esha used to come every evening after college on the pretext of cleaning, but in reality she had become Ayan’s ‘didi’. She would recite lullabies to him, tell him stories of the stars and make the house feel like ‘home’. Aryan was also looking forward to the evening.

But one morning, the manager of the cleaning company arrived for a routine checkup. She said in front of Aryan, “Sir, this girl is not Rhea. It’s someone else!”

Aryan’s anger reached the seventh heaven. “Did you lie to me? Did you deceive me into my house?” She told the truth that she was helping her sister. But Aryan’s trust was broken. He asked Isha to leave at the same time.

After the incompleteness and realization of Isha’s departure, the mansion again became silent like a graveyard. Ayan stopped eating. He would just sit at the window and wait for Isha. Aryan realised that Isha was no ordinary girl. That was the glint in Ayan’s eyes. He realised his mistake that he misunderstood Isha.

A new start On Ayan’s birthday, Aryan invites Isha and Rhea. The house was decorated with balloons. When Isha came in, Ayan ran and hugged her. “Sister! I knew you’d come. Mom sent you from above. ”

Aryan came forward. He was not wearing a suit, but an ordinary kurta. She said in front of everyone, “Isha, I have only done business deals all my life, but for the first time I understood the value of love and trust. I want you to be part of this family, not as a cleaner. ”

She held out not the ring, but a gold bracelet to Isha—a promise that she and Ayan would never let her get away from herself again. There were tears of joy in Isha’s eyes. The Mumbai rains were no longer cold, but relaxed.

Concluding Message: Do you think Isha’s lying was wrong? Can a ‘white lie’ made to love and family be forgiven? Share your opinion in the comments.
